What currency are your prices listed?

We are a Singaporean label, so prices are in Singapore dollars.

Which countries do you ship to?

​

We ship to most countries using Singapore Post. Please refer to Shipping + Returns for more information. If your country is not listed at the check-out page, please contact us and we will see how we can get MAKENNA STUDIO to you.

What are your delivery charges?

​

For domestic orders n Singapore, we provide free shipping. For international orders, we provide free shipping with purchases over $300. For orders below that amount, shipping rates will be calculated at check-out.

Can I track my order?

​

A confirmation email together with the tracking number of your parcel will be sent to your email once your order has been dispatched. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen parcels. However, we will try our best to help if this should occur.

What are your sizes like?

​

Please refer to the size guide page for more information. For hand-made dress in Singapore, we will provide the sizing over the website. If in doubt, please contact us via email or DM on Instagram.

How do I care for my MAKENNA STUDIO piece?

​

Please refer to the care label before washing your new Makenna (located on the inside of the dress).

 

Generally though, we recommend to do a cold hand wash or a hand wash setting on your washing machine. We use mild washing liquid and avoid those with bleach and colour brighteners. If you use washing powder, please make sure the powder is completely dissolved in the water before putting your Makenna in. Wash the garment on it’s own for the first couple of washes and then only with similar colours, just in case it runs (it really should not though).

 

Do not wring or rub or scrub. Rinse in cool water and then pop it on a hanger in the shade or lay it flat to avoid stretching to dry.

 

We suggest using a steam iron to straighten your piece. If you use a conventional iron, do iron on the reverse side, on a low heat.

We are not perfect but we try our very best to ensure our practices and materials are sustainable and ethical. Please refer to our page on Made Consciously for more information.

What is the inspiration behind MAKENNA STUDIO?

​

The founder of MAKENNA STUDIO is trained as an environmental scientist specialising in developing sustainable solutions for rural communities. She studied and worked in Australia and India for over a decade before coming home to the red dot. Back home, she observed that most Singaporeans leaned towards mono-coloured outfits. Sustainable wear also tended to be more earth-tone in colours. Combining her passion for environmental issues, uplifting communities and colourful clothing, she started MAKENNA STUDIO in 2023 as a passion project.

Who is the dog that keeps appearing in MAKENNA STUDIO's photos and videos?

​

That is Ira, a female Singapore Special who we adopted in 2021. She is the sweetest and is our anxiety dog for photoshoots.
