We don’t believe in overproduction, shortcuts, or trends that disappear in a season. Instead, we focus on creating a small collection of well-considered pieces that are made to last and feel good to wear.
This is how we work.
Design with intention
Each Makenna piece begins with careful design.

We develop a small number of adaptable silhouettes — like Freya, and Eowyn — and refine them over time instead of constantly releasing new and changing styles.

Our designs focus on comfort, adjustability, and ease of movement, so they work across different bodies and lifestyles.

Curated Fabrics
We source fabrics deliberately and in limited quantities.
​
Many are collected during travels or from small local suppliers, chosen for their breathability, durability, and feel against the skin. Natural and low-impact materials are prioritised whenever possible.

Because we work with limited fabric quantities, each design is produced in small batches. Once a fabric is gone, it is rarely repeated - keeping waste low and every piece special.
We do not bulk-buy large volumes. Each fabric is selected with care and purpose.

Made to Order & Small Batch
Most of our pieces are made to order.

This means your garment is only made after your order is placed. Occasionally, we produce small ready-to-ship batches when fabric are limited.

By working this way, we avoid excess stock, reduce waste and focus on making only what is needed.
